Workshop built by Jumbo King. Built to be a caravan factory. Business called Trail Master Late 50's Gordon Morris took over the site and used it as a Plumbing business . Morris was a big fan of Riley’s and before long the site was being used as a workshop During this time Ashhurst had its own taxi service. Petrol pumps were installed. Known as Alamein Garage and Service Station. 1973 Business bought by Roger Herd and Trevor Bolstad, renamed Astro Auto Services. Petrol pumps were leased to B Gilmore, followed by John Stevens, then Warrick Phillips. Had Panel Beating service, first with Ted Ward, then Tom Evans. 1978 Workshop fire 2007 Business bought by James Candish, renamed Village Valley Automotive 2012 Workshop renovations |
